    The restaurant server will ensure that our guests receive a memorable fine dining experience in a warm and friendly atmosphere, with service that exceeds their expectation.

    Responsibilities

    Provide genuine, engaging and personalized service in accordance with LHW and Hotel Granduca standards
    Greet and seat guests, accept orders and special requests and deliver food in a timely, warm and cordial manner
    Remember repeat guests and call guests by name
    Create a relaxing and comfortable environment by providing excellent service that exceeds LHW and hotel standards
    Maintain knowledge of all menu items, beverage and daily specials
    Provide bar, wine and cocktail service while adhering to TABC guidelines and hotel policy
    Operate Point of Sale system with accuracy and efficiency
    Assist with other job functions as required
    Maintain a secure and accurate cash drawer and practice proper cash handling procedures
    Adhere to the standards of operations, policies and procedures and verbal instructions required to succesfully perform the essential functions of the job
    Practice the hotel's Core Values and 3 Steps of Service
    Assist with set up and clearing of dining room and other outlets
    Ensure areas are clean and sanitary and all condiments are adequately stocked
    Complete required sidework and appropriate checklists
    Promote and upsell food, special offers and beverage items
    Assist in controlling the loss and waste of food and beverage product
    Maintain knowledge of Hotel Granduca’s facilities and amenities to assist guests with directions and questions
    Consistently maintain a professional, friendly and cordial demeanor to reflect the culture of Hotel Granduca
    Perform other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
    At least 2 years' experience in a fine dining restaurant of a full service or luxury hotel
    Current TABC Certification
    Current Texas Food Handler’s Certificate
    Knowledge of hotel amenities, services and hours of operation, local area and points of interest
    Ability to follow and understand written and verbal instructions
    Excellent interpersonal skills and telephone etiquette
    Professional and courteous demeanor
    Ability to multi-task and manage time while providing excellent guest service
    Must be of legal age according to state regulations to serve alcohol
    Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and ethnicities
    Must be able to work required shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays
