    The Front Desk Agent will create the perfect first impression while assisting with a flawless check-in and check-out process. The Front Desk Agent will also handle guest requests and resolve issues, in accordance with LHW and Hotel Granduca service standards.

    Responsibilities

    Accurately check guests in and out of the hotel in a cordial and timely manner
    Handle billing and transactions on guest’s folio, obtaining method of payment for reservations
    Explain hotel features and services and answer questions in a confident and cordial manner
    Resolve guest complaints in a positive and timely manner to ensure maximum customer satisfaction
    Anticipate guest needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests
    Perform duties to meet or exceed LHW standards
    Maintain visibility and demonstrate passion and readiness to respond to guests' needs promptly and efficiently
    Maintain updated knowledge of hotel amenities and services, hours of operations, rates and special offers & promotions
    Assist with answering telephone and processing IRD orders
    Demonstrate a sense of urgency and willingness to assist guests at all times
    Maintain knowledge of all points of interest in the Galleria and Houston area
    Keep assigned bank secure at all times and ensure accuracy of all monetary transactions
    Answer department telephone within 3 rings, using proper telephone etiquette and language
    Communicate pertinent guest information to appropriate departments
    Assist with delivery of guest packages, concierge and valet services
    Work closely with Housekeeping department to maintain knowledge of rooms readiness
    Maintain guest and client confidentiality
    Maintain proper body language, tone and cordial demeanor towards internal and external guests
    Adhere to Hotel Granduca standards and practice the 3 Steps of Service and Hotel Core Values
    Maintain a clean and organized work area with adequate inventory of supplies
    Maintain a professional and neat appearance according to Hotel Granduca guidelines
    Perform other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    High school Diploma or equivalent
    Minimum 1 year related experience in a full service or luxury hotel
    Prior night audit experience an asset
    Excellent telephone and email etiquette
    Excelllent communication skills, verbal and written and ability to follow instructions
    Bilingual - English/Spanish preferred
    Excellent listening skills, time management skills, and attention to detail
    Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office software
    Must demonstrate a pleasant, cordial and professional demeanor at all times
    Available to work assigned shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays, based on business demands
