    The Manager, Ristorante Cavour will provide "hands on" assistance to the team to maximize guest satisfaction while adhering to LHW and Hotel Granduca standards. The successful candidate will have an extensive background in the fine dining restaurant of a full service luxury hotel.

    Responsibilities

    • Support the daily operations of the restaurant to achieve maximum guest satisfaction 
    • Ensure compliance with  policies and procedures - federal, state and local regulations and maintain required records
    • Create an culture of support, teamwork and open communication and elevate the standards of service
    • Collaboratively work with culinary and other teams to provide a memorable dining experience for our guests
    • Support administrative responsibilities to include inventory control, payroll and administrative duties
    • Manage recruiting, training, coaching and development of team to exceed LHW and hotel standards of service
    • Assist with scheduling with focus on labor, food costs and budgetary guidelines
    • Maintain visibility in Ristorante Cavour and perfom all F&B duties as required to ensure exceptional service to guests
    • Organize wine pairing and menu tastings to educate and develop team
    • Practice and enforce the Hotel Core Values and 3 Steps of Service and LHW standards
    • Maintain a warm and cordial demeanor and a crisp professional presence that exemplify the culture and standards of Hotel Granduca
    • Demonstrate and instill a sense of pride and passion and attention to detail
    • Adhere to the Hotel Standards of Appearance hotel policies and set expectations for team
    • Maintain ongoing training on proper set up and etiquette according to LHW and Hotel Granduca standards
    • Assist F&B Manager with inventory as required and purchasing of supplies and equipment
    • Ensure work areas are clean, well-organized and stocked to facilitate optimum performance from team
    • Promptly greet and seat the guests and describe all menu and beverage items, while focusing on opportunities to upsell
    • Attend required training and meetings and chair department and pre-shift meetings
    • Collaborate with management and other departments to promptly resolve billing or guest concerns
    • Assist with answering phones and taking reservations as required
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
    • At least 2 years’ related experience in a management role, in a fine dining restaurant of a full service or luxury hotel
    • Experience with LHW standards strongly preferred
    • Wine and beverage knowledge
    • Indepth knowledge of all menu items including restricted menus, daily specials and brunch items 
    • Experience with effective scheduling, labor costs, and productivity
    • Effective coaching and training skills, with focus on positive feedback and employee engagement
    • Prior POS system knowledge required
    • Knowledge of hotel services, amenities and hours of operation
    • Must possess valid TABC and Food Handler's certificate
    • Excellent communication skills and command of English required - verbal and written
    • Ability to speak and/or understand Spanish or other languages preferred
    • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task
    • Proficiency with Microsoft programs - Word, Excel, power point 
    • Excellent email and telephone etiquette and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to effectively communicate with management, teams and clients and guests from culturally and ethnically diverse backgrounds
    • Must be available to work any shift as required including weekends and holidays, based on staffing needs and business demands
