    The steward is responsible for the cleanliness of China, Glass and Silver and F&B Equipment while adhering to sanitation practices in accordance with required regulations and established hotel Granduca standards.


    To accomplish this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, each essential function satisfactorily.     • Complete assigned tasks and provide the departments with clean and sanitary equipment and utensils in a timely manner
    • Follows the proper guidelines and regulations when operating the dishwashing machine, three department sink and dishwashing procedures
    • Handle and clean china, glass, silver and equipment in a careful manner to prevent breakage and loss of product
    • Maintain a clean and sanitary area, including mopping floors and cleaning counters in the dishwashing and kitchen areas
    • Adhere to required Food Handler's, OSHA and Sanitation regulations 
    • Promptly remove dirty dishes and utensils from F&B and cafeteria areas and replenish in a timely manner
    • Maintain a professional, neat and organized appearance according to Hotel Granduca standards
    • Practice the 3 Steps of Service and Hotel Core Values
    • Assist the team in retrieving and replenishing items in F&B areas and during banquet events
    • Dispose of trash according to hotel guidelines and health regulations
    • Perform other duties as assigned



    • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
    • At least 1 year related experience in a full service hotel or luxury hotel
    • Must be able to push, pull, carry up to 40 lbs
    • Excellent command of English and ability to understand verbal and written instructions
    • Bi-lingul - English/Spanish - preferred
    • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stretch, reach, crouch and use arms and hands for long periods
    • Must demonstrate a friendly and courteous demeanor
    • Must be able to work assigned schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays
