    The full-time Host(ess) greets and seats the guests in the restaurant, bar and veranda areas and assists in creating a memorable dining experience for our guests while adhering to LHW and Hotel Granduca standards.


      To accomplish this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, each essential function satisfactorily.     • Greet and and seat guests  in a warm and welcoming manner in all outlet areas
    • Escort guests to the assigned table and introduce the server
    • Ensure menus and work area are maintained in a clean and organized manner
    • Maintain communication with management, servers, and kitchen staff

    • Adhere to the policies of the hotel, including Standards of Appearance and Attendance Policy
    • Adhere to LHW and hotel standards when interacting with internal and external guests
    • Monitor and update restaurant activity to determine seating and dining flow
    • Assist F&B team with clearing and resetting tables, as needed
    • Respond to guest inquiries in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
    • Maintain updated knowledge of special offers, beverage and menus items in all F & B areas
    • Answer phone within 3 rings and provide accurate information and timely follow up to guests' inquiries and requests
    • Record F&B reservations and communicate to F&B and culinary team
    • Immediately communicate all guests' complaints and concerns to department manager for timely resolution
    • Practice the 3 Steps of Service and Daily Core Values of Hotel
    • Maintain a friendly and cordial demeanor at all times
    • Understand and learn the hotel, services, amenities and the surrounding area
    • Perform other duties as assigned



    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • At least one year of related experience in a full service hotel or fine dining restaurant
    • Ability to walk, stand, bend, and carry up to 10 lbs
    • Must possess knowledge of food, wines and liquors

    • TABC certificate required

    • Food Handlers' certificate required
    • Experience with OpenTable and Micros preferred
    • Must be able to work any shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays, as required

    • Possess excellent command of English, verbal and written

    • Professional, courteous demeanor and excellent interpersonal skills
    • Knowledge of all aspects of services and amenities of hotel, including hours of operations of facilities
    • Knowledge of local sites and attractions and surrounding areas
    • Bilingual - English and Spanish - preferred
