    The P/T Overnight In-Room Dining Server is responsible for delivering food and beverage items and amenities to the hotel guests in a prompt, warm and courteous manner, while adhering to LHW and Hotel Granduca standards.

    • Answer phone calls in a timely and professional manner
    • Record details of guests' order and enter into point of service (POS) system
    • Book reservations and respond to inquiries and special requests
    • Clean and polish glasses and silverware for table settings
    • Adhere to the hotel's standards and LHW standards of service
    • Comply with  State, Federal, OSHA, health, Food Handlers', TABC regulations
    • Verify accuracy of orders before transporting food and beverage items to guests
    • Deliver food and beverage items to guests in a timely and cordial manner
    • Remove dining trays, soiled linens and utensils from guest floors and service elevator areas throughout the shift
    • Maintain  knowledge of updated menu and beverage items
    • Responsible for posting room charges to the guests profiles
    • Maintain guest confidentiality and privacy

    • Suggest, describe and upsell menu and beverage items
    • Maintain an adequate inventory of supplies as required
    • Ensure all condiments and silverware are prepared and ready for use
    • Know the hotel, services, amenities and area
    • Maintain cleanliness in the Room Service area
    • Set up and prepare trays for delivery to guests
    • Learn and practice the Daily Core Values and 3 Steps of Service
    • Maintain ongoing communication with team, culinary and other departments
    • Ensure all side-work is completed before the end of shift
    • Perform other duties as assigned




    • Minimum  high school education or equivalent
    • At least one year  related experience in Room Service, preferably in a full-service hotel
    • Ability to walk, stand, bend, and carry/push up to 30 lbs
    • Experience with Micros system (POS)
    • Must possess knowledge of food, wines and liquors

    • TABC certificate required

    • Food Handlers' certificate required
    • Excellent command of English and ability to follopw instructions, both verbal and written

    • Bilingual - English and Spanish - preferred

    • Excellent telephone etiquette and interpersonal skills
    • Excellent time management and organizational skills and ability to multi-task
    • Must be able to work required overnight shifts including weekends and holidays based on business demand
    • May be required to work other shifts occasionally to assist with staffing needs
