Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in the ongoing development of the outlets, including ensuring the consistent delivery of the Hotel’s core values and operational standards, and overseeing the health, safety and security of both guests and employees
  • Provide "Hands on" service ith serving, bussing and expedting as required to ensure guests' requests and needs are satisfied
  • Maintain visibility on the floor and promptly address and resolve all guests concerns in cordial and professional manner
  • Greet and welcome the guests in a manner that exemplifies LHW and hotel Granduca standards
  •  Maintain a working knowledge of, and ensure compliance with, all statutory requirements regarding all food and beverage operations, and that the conditions affecting the issues of such licenses are not jeopardized
  •  Help develop, implement and continually improve service standards
  •  Effectively ensure maintenance of expected Hotel standards of appearance and hygiene of all team members (ie. uniforms, grooming, etc.)
  • Consistently demonstrate to guests and team members a commitment to service excellence through the effective implementation and delivery of the Granduca Hotels Core Values and Service Standards
  •  Motivate and engage team members to consistently deliver the best possible to service to guests at all times
  •  Actively participate in departmental meetings and other team member meetings as required
  •  Resolve guest concerns/issues efficiently and courteously to prevent a reoccurrence and ensure guest will become a repeat customer
  •  Ensure appropriate food and beverage management coverage on weekends and holidays in the outlets to ensure consistently high levels of guest service are maintained
  •  Morning, evenings and weekend work is required
  •  All other duties as assigned that will assist and support the mandate of the Hotel and its ongoing success

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year experience in a supervisory role within the food and beverage industry, in a luxury hotel/resort environment
  •  Post secondary education in hospitality management preferred
  •  Strong working knowledge of hospitality industry principles, methods, practices and techniques as they relate to all areas of food and beverage including a bar environment
  •  Sincere customer focus and true appreciation for the guest experience
  •  Highly organized, goal and results oriented with ability to execute plans and manage change effectively
  •  Ability to build and maintain strong relationships, interact and influence at all levels both within and outside the organization; including owners, key business partners, management, team members and guests
  •  Proven ability to achieve goals, multi-task and set priorities based on a constantly changing business environment
  •  Effective decision making abilities coupled with sound judgment
  •  Ability to analyze and interpret the needs of guests and offer appropriate options, solutions and resolutions required
  •  Strong personal integrity with an innate desire to work in an ethical manner
  •  Exceptional conflict resolution, negotiation, and objection handling skills
  •  Demonstrated ability to lead and direct a team, including coaching and mentoring
  • Availability to work all required shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays
