The PBX operator is responsible for answering and transferring all internal and external calls in accordance with established Hotel Granduca and LHW service standards, using proper telephone etiquette and a warm and cordial demeanor. The PBX Operator will respond to guests' requests and record and submit all In Room Dining orders in a prompt and professional manner.

  • Answer phone within 3 rings and using proper telephone etiquette according to hotel and LHW standards of service
  • Collect all necessary information in order to properly handle calls and requests
  • Answer internal and external calls record messages, and transfer promptly to appropriate departments
  • Administer scheduled wake-up calls per guests' requests
  • Record and submit In Room Dining orders promptly
  • Maintain complete knowledge of all IRD menu items, special offers and F&B services
  • Describe and upsell all IRD menu items, special offers and packages
  • Resolve guest complaints, ensuring maximum customer satisfaction
  • Respond promptly to guests' and management requests  
  • Maintain updated knowledge of hotel amenities and services, hours of operations, rates and special packages & promotions   
  • Communicate pertinent guest information to designated department
  • Assist others departments maintain ongoing communication to ensure guest's needs are met 
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the entire shift
  • Ensure guest confidentiality is maintained

  • Perform other duties as assigned



  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent

  • At least 1 year related experience in a full service or luxury hotel 

  • Must possess clear, concise written and verbal communication skills and be able to communicate professionally and effectively with internal and external guests

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Knowledge of Hotel PMS

  • Knowledge of multiple languages preferred
  • Must maintain a professional, neat and organized appearance according to Hotel Granduca standards
  • Must be passionate about providing warm, engaging and personalized service
  • Excellent telephone etiquette, listening skills and ability to follow instructions
  • Must be able to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays
