 The full-time Cocktail Server is responsible for providing personalized service that will ensure a memorable experience for our guests in the Bar and Veranda area.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome and seat guests in a professional and courteous manner
  • Record guests' orders and accurately enter into point of service (POS) system
  • Maintain confidentiality with guest information
  • Serve food and beverage items to guests in Bar and veranda/pool areas
  • Maintain visibility and be available to assist guests at all times
  • Maintain a friendly and cordial demeanor when interacting with guests and team members
  • Suggest, describe and upsell food and beverage items
  • Maintain updated knowledge of all wines, liquor and menus items 
  • Assist in other areas of F&B as required
  • Adhere to the hotel's and LHW standards, policies and procedures
  • Maintain an adequate inventory of supplies as required
  • Practice the Daily Core Values and 3 Steps of Service
  • Know the hotel, services, amenities and surrounding area
  • Comply with  all applicable laws including OSHA and TABC regulations
  • Assist bartenders and barback with setting up and clearing tables
  • Maintain ongoing communication with team, culinary and supervisor to resolve guest issues
  • Complete necessary side-work as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum requirement high school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year of related experience in a luxury or full-service hotel
  • Ability to walk, stand, bend, and carry to 25 lbs.
  • Experience with Micros (POS) system
  • Must possess knowledge wines, liquor and mixed  beverage and all menu items

  • TABC certification required

  • Food Handler's certification required
  • Demonstrate a genuine friendly but cordial demeanor at all times
  • Possess excellent command of English, verbal and written and communication skills
  • Must demonstrate the ability to accurately record guest orders and follow instructions
  • Bilingual - English and Spanish - preferred
  • Must be able to work required shifts, including weekends and holidays, based on business demands
