The restaurant server will ensure that our guests receive a memorable fine dining experience in a warm and friendly atmosphere, with service that exceeds their expectation.

Responsibilities

  • Must be passionate about providing warm, engaging and personalized service through natural and friendly behavior to each and every guest, in accordance with Hotel Granduca standards
  • Maintain knowledge of all menu items, both food and beverage, and daily specials
  • Responsible for providing bar, wine and cocktail service within TABC guidelines and in accordance with Hotel Granduca’s Alcoholic Beverage Service Policy
  • Operate Point of Sale system with accuracy and efficiency
  • Adhere to all of the various written mandatory standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, memos, oral instruction, etc., which go to make up the essential functions of the job  
  • Responsible for proper and efficient dining room set up
  • Responsible for complete and efficient breakdown and cleanup of dining room and banquet set up
  • Maintain knowledge of all menu items, beverage and special offers
  • Maintain overall presentation of all areas including cleanliness, physical condition, and appropriate stocking of all condiments
  • Participate and assist in controlling the loss and waste of food and beverage product and following F&B guidelines with regard to staff food and beverage consumption
  • Responsible for knowledge of Hotel Granduca’s facilities and amenities to assist guests with directions and questions
  • Due to fluctuating demands of the hotel’s operation, it may be necessary that each associate perform a multitude of different functions. As an essential part of your job, you will be expected to help others as the occasion arises, and accordingly, you may be expected to perform other tasks as needed or directed
  • Must maintain a professional, neat and organized appearance according to Hotel Granduca standards
  • Must be able to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years' experience in a fine dining restaurant,  full service hotel or hospitality environment required
  • Current TABC Seller Certification required
  • Current Texas Food Handler’s Certificate required
  • Must be of legal age according to state regulations to serve alcohol
  • Must possess clear, concise written and verbal communication skills and be able to communicate professionally and effectively with guests, fellow associates, and vendors
  • Must be able to work required shifts, including weekends and holidays
