The Concierge will provide authentic, warm and exceptional service to our guests, ensuring we meet their every need while creating an unprecedented, extraordinary experience during their stay at Hotel Granduca.  The Concierge will ensure our guests requests are addressed  promptly and graciously, while creatively exceeding their expectations.  The Concierge will support all other departments of the hotel in ensuring impeccable service for our guests throughout their stay.

Responsibilities

  • Promptly assist guests with any and all requests in a gracious and warm and courteous manner
  • Fulfill guests requests promptly and efficiently
  • Maintain contact with guests while in house to ensure all needs are met
  • Exceed all service requirements as outlined by Hotel Granduca standards and Leading Hotels of the World
  • Actively engage in any guest recovery situation and follow up to final resolution
  • Be actively involved in local Concierge association
  • Assist the Front Office and Valet teams as required
  • Collaborate with Loss Prevention to guest issues regarding missing and lost items
  • Assist with necessary reservations as requested by guests
  • Assist with purchasing and delivering items to guests in a prompt and efficient manner
  • Cater to the guests' needs while maintaining a professional and cordial demeanor
  • Work with other departments to ensure all guests' needs are met and satisfied
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one year experience as a Concierge in a full service hotel
  • Member of Les Clefs d'Or strongly preferred
  • Must have a passion for delivering outstanding gracious, exceptional service
  • Must possess clear, concise written and verbal communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with guests, fellow associates, and vendors
  • Must be able to work flexible schedules, including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays
  • Must have an extensive network of contacts, knowledge of local area and hotel and amenities
  • Ability to push, pull, carry up to 100 lbs
  • Must have the ability to provide valid and relevant directions, recommendations and resources to enable successful fulfillment of guest requests
  • Knowledge of local attractions, exhibits, shows, concerts, entertainment, shopping and other activities is imperative
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Must be able to work required shifts including weekends and holidays, based on business demands
