The Reservations Agent will promptly handle all incoming reservation calls in a professional, authentic and gracious manner, according to Hotel Granduca standards.  The Reservation Agent will address all related requests, cancellations and answer inquiries on rates, special packages, hotel services and amenities.

Responsibilities

  • Answer calls promptly, providing professional, authentic, and engaging service to the caller, according to Hotel Granduca standards.
  • Accurately make room reservations, while looking for opportunities to upsell.
  • Monitor inventory levels, room and rate restrictions.
  • Perform duties to meet or exceed LHW standards
  • Maintain knowledge of current special packages and amenity offerings.
  • Provide assistance to other departments, as required.
  • Communicate and follow up with Accounting and Front Desk to resolve reservations and billing issues. 
  • Maintain full knowledge of details of rooms, meeting space and banquet areas.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required.

  • At least 1 year experience in a full service hotel or customer service environment
  • Must possess a cordial and professional demeanor and excellent telephone etiquette

  • The ability to speak multiple languages preferred

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Must be able to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Must have working knowledge of  reservations, front office, and property management systems
  • Must demonstrate a friendly but cordial demeanor and excellent telephone etiquette
  • Must possess clear, concise written and verbal communication skills and be able to communicate professionally and effectively with guests, fellow associates, and vendors
  • Must maintain a professional, neat and organized appearance according to Hotel Granduca standards
