The Front Desk Agent will receive our guests in a warm and engaging manner, assisting with a flawless check-in and check-out process.  The Front Desk Agent will also perform billing and cashiering tasks as well as handling any guest requests, in accordance with Hotel Granduca service standards and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively communicate with guests, employees and vendors
  • Accurately check guests in and out of the hotel in a cordial and timely manner
  • Handle billing and transactions on guest’s folio, obtaining method of payment for reservations
  • Perform room escorts and explain hotel features and services
  • Resolve guest complaints, ensuring maximum customer satisfaction
  • Anticipate guest needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests
  • Perform duties to meet or exceed LHW standards
  • Maintain updated knowledge of hotel amenities and services, hours of operations, rates and special packages & promotions   
  • Maintain knowledge of key services and points of interest in the Galleria and Houston area
  • Keep assigned bank secure at all times and ensure accuracy of all monetary transactions
  • Answer department telephone within 3 rings, using proper telephone etiquette and language
  • Communicate pertinent guest information to designated departments
  • Assist with guest packages, concierge and valet services
  • Maintain guest and client confidentiality
  • Adhere to Hotel Granduca  standards and practice the 3 Steps of Service and Hotel Core Values
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the entire shift
  • Maintain a professional and neat appearance according to Hotel Granduca guidelines
  • Must be willing to work required shifts based on business demands, including weekends, overnight and holidays
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year  experience in a hospitality or customer service environment required

  • Prior night audit experience an asset

  • Must demonstrate excelllent communication skills and good command of English

  • Bilingual - English/Spanish preferred
  • Computer skills required, with proficiency in Microsoft Office software
  • Must demonstrate a cordial and professional demeanor at all times
